For the owner, inventor or whoever is responsible for the C-TUG Carts;

I bought your cart in July from BC Dive & Kayak in Vancouver, while on my way to Bowron Lake in British Columbia.
The sales person who told us about the C-TUG's explained that they were strong and would be good for long trips between the lakes and would stand up to a reasonable amount of punishment.
He did not mislead us - we have done this trip with friends once before and ended up other (unnamed manufacturers) carts falling apart half way through the trip which really pi*&^ed me off. This is the first Kayak Cart that has lived up to its hype.
C-TUG is still intact and works as well as the day we purchased it.
Kudos to the C-TUG people for finally providing us with great cart. I will spread the word.

To the folks at C-Tug. Just wanted to let you know that you have hit the nail pretty much on the head with your cart. It has now done 50 kms at least with a near full load and there has been no issues. It is incredible! The designer needs to design other stuff because it has made Canoe carts "intelligent". Thanks to the staff at Valhalla for your assistance and advice in pointing me to the c-tug.

Comments: We have a wilderness lodge on the southern tip of Algonquin Park (www.AlgonquinEcoLodge.com) and we get a lot of tourists who want to experience nature and the wilderness, though who may not have a lot of experience. As a result the canoes we use have to be able to withstand "novice abuse", so we have ABS whitewater canoes. These are quite heavy to portage, and even though our guests only need to portage about 200m we received a few complaints about the difficulty. The C-Tug will help solve that problem. I've used it with no difficulty down the portage trail (a logging road). We need to find a better way to secure the trolley to the bottom of the canoe for going over big rocks and tree stumps (put some hooks on the straps I think). But for our inexperienced guests this makes the portage a breeze!
Hi Peter, Just wind bound here this afternoon in Belle River on Lake Saint Clair. We have been very impressed with the C-tug. We knew that this section of the coast would bring it's own challenges and one of them is access to campsites. We have endeavoured to camp at established parks and private campgrounds which, as it turns out, are often far from the shore and require us to cart all our equipment up to the site. Even if the park is located on the water it can be quite a trek to the gate house to sign in and then to the campsite to set up! We have been able to use the C-tug to bring our canoe and all of our equipment in 'one shot' up from the water to wherever we need to go. Our longest trips so far have been about 1.5km! This would not have been possible without the C-tug.

I am on the whole very pleased with the C-Tug Trolley, It is very quick to assemble and disassemble, once you have done it a couple of times and it takes only 30 seconds to do! It is easy to attach to the kayak and sticks to the bottom of the kayak like glue. When the Kayak is well positioned the trolley takes nearly all the weight and is very easy to pull,, over the following grounds: 1 tarmac 2 grass 3 wet sand 4 rocks Comes apart into nice small stowable sections that fit easily in our oval hatch,My over all impression was the C TUG was very good.

Review Two I use a c-tug and like it much. It fits in the front hatch of my Kodiak on day trips and on the back deck when going further afield. Easy to assemble and break down, doesn't look like there is much that can go wrong with it. Not the smallest but very robust and looks like it will serve me well for a while. Many of the teams on the AR World Championships used them and rated them highly.

Found no problem with the C-tug over quite rough terrain like going down over broken concrete and 12" drops where the old slip has broken up. Stones, rocks no bother - the clearance is more than I have seen on any other cart - it is deceptive in pictures. I have done a set for comparison of the Eckla and the C-Tug on the same ground - must find out how to put them though, they aren't much good here in my computer! Soft sand I haven't encountered yet - with anything. The ground pressure from the C-tug wheels is less than narrower tires though. The double wheels of the new cart put up the other day needs to be compared to the thick single. If it is the same area then the ground pressure is the same. Perhaps for soft sand areas it would be worth dropping the air pressure a little, that would give you a bigger footprint again - but increase rolling resistance on hard ground. You can't have it both ways!!
I like the look of the c-tug, especially the way the parts reduce to almost no space. It has me thinking of DIY, just not quite so clever!
I've got a c-tug and like it lots, adapts to the shape of all boats, it's very solid I mainly use it for hiking a huge sit-on-top down to the beach in the summer, fully loaded with beach junk for 4. The only thing against it is that once I didn't brush all the sand off the axle when assembling and the nylon axle is now gouged quite noticeably on one side. This was entirely my fault as the instructions do warn about this.
I got lucky, I picked up my 1st Yak (used) last weekend and he thru in one of these. It's great, comes apart or assembles in seconds and doesn't slip off the yak.
